Curtis, I can now give you a further review of the day/planning process..........Admittedly, we were not the best clients with my fiancee working nights and with me working days, so it was very hard for us to get together to choose music or consult with Rick. We contacted him a few weeks before but were missing many of the special music selections for cake cutting, first dance, etc. Rick made some suggestions for the music selections and asked us to describe how we wanted the overall feel of the wedding to be. We wanted a fun, upbeat ceremony and we wanted people on the dance floor. Rick was able to take this information and turn our celebration into exactly what we wanted it to be! The night went off perfectly, and Kate and I could not have been happier with Rick and the music selections. He even agreed to stay for an extra half hour on very short notice to keep the party going, which was key to our guests enjoyment!   I would definitely recommend Rick for anyone looking for an excellent wedding DJ. He was professional, polite, and was able to gauge the crowd perfectly and we are so very happy we went with Curtis Knight!

We had a very positive experience booking CKE for our wedding. After our original inquiry, we received a prompt reply and phone call with all the information we needed and quickly arranged a meeting. We found CKE to be very easy to work with, organized, and attentive throughout the entire process leading up to the our wedding. CKE did a wonderful job matching us with DJ Rolling Rick Colbourne for our wedding. We felt immediately comfortable and trusting of his expertise in music selection and timing. We appreciated his extra attention within the final weeks leading up to the event, suggestions and help with the overall timeline of events. During our reception Rick was very prepared and organized, working together with our other vendors, wedding party, and guests to ensure everything ran smoothly. We gave very little musical input and wanted a DJ that would play a few selected pieces we enjoyed, avoid some of the cheesy stuff, and overall play songs that our guests could enjoy and dance to. Rick succeeded at all these!

Our experience was great. The online planning tools were just awesome...they gave us the level of involvement that we wanted. Once we input all of the details we had a follow-up conversation with Rolling Rick and finalized everything. He had some great insight on some things we hadn't thought about, which really left us with a confident feeling that not only were we in good hands, but that the music at our wedding was going to be killer!. I would recommend Rolling Rick to anyone, for any event. He was professional, respectful and FUN. He got the party going fast and kept the energy exactly where we wanted it. We had a clear image of how we wanted everything to sound and feel. Rolling Rick got it and then made it happen. It was superb!

Rick, Thanks so much for sending our playlist. We 100% recommend DJ Rolling Rick! Rick deejayed/MCed our post ceremony cocktail hour along with our wedding reception and knocked them both out of the park! He worked closely with us to nail exactly what we wanted for both (jazzy/quiet music for mingling during the cocktail hour and a full dance floor through the whole reception) and MCed the reception wonderfully (kept everything on point/the ideal level of involvement.) The music for both was important to us because it sets the mood for the occasion and Rick couldn't have done a better job. We picked a first dance song from a live version that needed to be edited (remove applause/talking, etc) and Rick handled it perfectly. He took requests from my friends while respecting our 'do not play' list. Best of all - Rick kept the dance floor full all night by keeping his finger on the pulse of the crowd. If we started slowing down during one song he'd quickly spin into another to get us going again. I've never danced so much in one night! Don't hesitate to book DJ Rolling Rick for any of your events, you'll be so glad to have him (and his big smile) with you at your party! Sara & Glenn 5/29/2011
