Mark was great. We only meet him once and talked to him once on the phone and he was 
still able to pronounce everyone's name correctly. HA!!!!  He played my favorite song twice b/c I was taking pictures the first time and he showed up on time (unlike the limo). He also handled all the changes to our schedule without a problem. :) I know everyone had a great time and I, myself, stayed on the dance floor as much as I could.  Mark wasn't overbearing and he played music everyone seemed to like. The CD

Anna was a great help booking  this event for me.  She was so pleasant to speak with on the phone.
Ronny was wonderful and very accommodating.  Ronny played everything we wanted and when the dance floor seemed a little empty he chose music to get everyone up dancing.  I would definitely use him and curtis knight's services again.

It was a pleasure to book the party with Curtis.  He is very professional, charming & helpful  planning the event.  The experience working with the DJ"S was fantastic!!!   By the reaction of the people @ the party, I would say that Anna & Curtis were a "Big Hit" for sure!  The weather did not cooperate that evening & many of the expected guests did not show up.  It ended up being a wonderful time for those who could make it!!!!! Once again my event was amazing with the help of Catherine.  She never disappoints me.  I told her I wouldn't think of having any other DJ but her for "Natalie's Angel's" As for working with the office to book my event, if you remember myself and a friend came upstairs to Curtis' mothers apartment while you were laying hardwood flooring, and we finalized all the plans. I love that you guys are so welcoming and inviting. I could never imagine using or recommending any other entertainment company but you. I can't wait till I get married (we'll see what my boyfriend thinks about that lol) because the first arrangement I will make is booking Curtis & Anna to be my DJ's! He was even able to figure out what songs I was suggesting without me remembering the titles. It was like playing charades – he’s very good at it. Alex was very accommodating when I asked if he could stay another ½ hour. Thank Alex again for me.

The event was great and very memorable.  I think the dedications were a little overdone (our fault) especially since they were all done 1 after the other.   The best decision was the one to do the vows in the music [ We recorded their ceremony vows in advance and then Mark played them over their first dance - very nice touch ! ].  I had people tell me they cried... Mark was great - attentive and nothing was left to chance.  It was a smooth flowing event which is what we wanted.  He was knowledgeable but still allowed us to do our own thing.   Offered some tips which worked to our advantage

Hi Jeanie, Sorry this has taken so long, but as you can imagine things has been very crazy! I just wanted to thank you so much for the great job you did at our reception!! Everything was great. Every song that you played totally fit us. Our guests had a great time. People are still commenting about how much fun it was and how fast it went. I really couldn't believe it when you announced the last song! It felt like we had just gotten started.
I'm so glad we did the post-wedding reception, I feel like we were really able to enjoy and celebrate with our guests much more than if we had just come from our wedding. And getting married in Disney…you can't beat that!
A few people commented on how the first song to get the dancing going was perfect, "This is how we do it" definitely was the theme the whole night!
We will never forget what a great time we had, and I truly believe that music can either make or break an event and for ours it made it complete. I will highly recommend you to friends and family and keep you in mind for our future events.
On a side note we've planned our first DVC getaway in May and we're staying at the Boardwalk where we got married!

Comments: Tricia kept everyone dancing all night long. I wished we'd had a little more time to work with her (our fault for planning so last-minute) and had better determined a must-play and do-not play list of both songs and artists. While she did play several songs we'd talked about, some artists/songs were left out we would have liked, and some songs were played that neither of us liked at all. Again, this is our fault- guests had a wonderful time and have given me many many compliments on Tricia! Well-deserved, I might add!

Comments: Tricia was wonderful at rolling with the punches (my cousin and his wife singing a few songs, a few unexpected toasts, etc) and was professional and polite. I thought her emceeing was perfect for our event too. I even saw her pointing out some good shots to the photographer. It was evident she was giving her 100% and active and involved the whole time and we really appreciated it and everything she's done!

I can't even put you on a scale of 1-10 because everything was way over a 10. Everything from start to finish was absolutely perfect! I can't thank you enough! You really put my mind at ease, knowing that everything would be taken care of, whether it be to find my missing throw bouquet, or if I needed a drink, or to make sure the photographer was present before the bouquet toss...everything was covered. You two were outstanding. I am sooooo glad that we were able to have you be part of our wedding day. We have received numerous compliments about you guys and I'm sure you will get some referrals from our guests.
I loved the CD you gave us of the music from the wedding!!! I can picture what was going on at the time the music was being played. That is something to cherish!!!
And tonight I just opened the e-mail with the picture slide-show. You are phenomenal! I can't believe you did that. The pictures came out great and adding the music and Chris' speech was priceless! That was so unexpected. I hope I'll be able to keep the e-mail so I can keep it forever.
So you get a 10+++++++ for everything.
Curtis, I ran into you at 2 bridal shows and knew that you were the DJ that I wanted at our reception. I am so glad that we got to have you!!!!
And wait, did I mention that you guys were perfect???
You made the reception a blast, and that is what matters most. That is what the guests remember. And you made my special day be nearly stress-less, (at least when it came to after the ceremony).
I only wish that every bride could be so lucky to have you two as their DJ's.

Comments: I would forever serve as a reference to DJ John M. We LOVED him-- he was fun, interested, responsive and just so kind. He seemed really interested in our wedding as our most important day, and gently helped guide us and incorporated our suggestions. His attire, voice, tone, sense of humor, organization all added up to perfection. He never missed a trick, chose all the best songs, and nothing, NOTHING was overlooked. He even dedicated a song to our dogs with a straight face! He played the best songs from our list, and added a few great ones too.
Every important song at the important time went perfect, and he was so patient as we cut up our first dance song to get rid of the intro so it would be perfect. We LOVED him-- he was perfect.

Comments: As I said above, he was among our favorite vendors of the day. His kindness and concern, and his ability/interest in getting names and orders right, and in keeping us on track was amazing. He'd unobtrusively come by to check on things and keep the night flowing. He was a dj, event planner, and master of ceremonies in one. Simply incredible! I'd love to be able to get married again just to use his again!

Comments: Very friendly, extremely flexible and accommodating. We really, really appreciated the opportunity to be able to listen to the different iterations of suggested songs (i.e sheep grazing softly -- then done in harp or vs flute, for example). DJ may have heard these millions of times before, but was super patient with us. Really loved it. Curtis was very welcoming, genuine, and also let Bob do his thing -- greeted us and made sure we were all set - but then def. gave the tone that we were in great hands with Bob (which we totally were).

Comments:> Excellent - he is superb and a tremendous asset to your organization. He has a calm, easy going, friendly presence and terrific voice quality during the event. I liked him from the first meeting and knew he'd do an awesome job - and I was right. We only wish we had the resources to give him a giant tip ($).

Comments: Absolutely -- he is top notch and we were so lucky to have had Bob H. We really appreciated how he helped us make the event unique for us -- like reggae music at dinner - or dancing to a "flower girls song" ...
We just hope he got fed - we are pretty sure he did - (Holly) peeked out the window and saw he & the photographer grabbing a bite - with big relief - and hope the catering staff were cool to him.

Comments: Ronny Perrin was amazing! I got a little panicked about 2 weeks before the wedding, and he was quick to reassure me that everything was going to be fine. I really believe that it is ultimately the DJ that makes or breaks the wedding reception, and with Ronny there, I was able to finally relax and truly enjoy myself. I didn't worry about anything!

Comments: My cousin brought in some surprises as a part of our "family tradition" that isn't something that you would normally see at a wedding reception. It was a hit with everyone there! Answer: You both were my DJ's. My very own entertainment specialists!! You plan, observe, work the crowd, get everyone involved, guide and help the bride and groom. You both exhausted all of us!!! The bride and groom of this wedding had whole body pain the next day and why? because our "DJ's" knew how to keep us on the floor dancing and dancing and more dancing!! You heard us when we told you what we wanted for our wedding and you both were our magic Genies!! Our wishes were very satisfied!!

Answer: I have been to many events with DJ's. They stand behind a table, maybe a word or two. Play songs that go fast then just as we all get into it, BAM, switch to a slow song and everyone gets off the floor.
You both put on a song and I mean every single time you played a new song we all just kept going. No one left the floor, no one wanted to because just as one great song ended, another one began . The crazy dance was awesome, The games you do so much fun! You two are not just "DJ's" You truly are entertainment specialists. and may I point out those DVD's you made for us were an added surprise of happiness!! Anna and Curtis, you are the best! I have been meaning to write thank you notes to all my vendors, but after the thank you notes to my guest I think I had nothing left in me. I have been have extreme service issues with my photographer and their faults are making everyone else that was involved in our wedding shine. Their negative service is giving me a second wind for thanks to all that were involved in making our wedding day so memorable.

Comments: Working with Rich before the wedding was very minimal. I had one conversation with him the week before, which I had thought would need to go longer so I could assure myself that he knew what Shawn and I wanted in a DJ, the music that we were looking for him to play and be sure he had a full understanding of the level of commentary we wanted. I am pretty sure he was given full warning of how crazy I was about my concerns of a talkative DJ, but Rich was very professional in assuring me that he was not going to be putting on a show would just be playing great music and keep the dance floor packed, which he did.
Do you feel that your DJ did his / her best to make your event the best it could be ?

Comments: We could not have asked for a better DJ, the dance floor was packed all night. All our guests, of all ages (including grandparents), raved about how great the music was and the momentum of the dance floor throughout the night. He did such a great job playing a range of music and didn't miss one song off our request list. He also was very respectful of our request of no line dancing, one grandparent requested the chicken dance and he said she would need to check with the bride and groom, even though the request came from a grandparent, he respected the fact that we were still his client and handled it perfectly (and no we still didn't play the song, grandparent or not, it is still the chicken dance, we should have done it for her, but, we didn't). The biggest complement I could give was that one of my uncles, a well known and successful event planner in NYC and Boston, asked my mother to get him the DJ's contact info so he would have it for his files because he was so impressed with the flow and professional manor Rich kept throughout the evening.
Additional Notes:
I feel that you should add the song "Now that we found love, what are we gonna do" to your suggestion list for last dances. Rich played the typical "Last Dance" and then as we had requested to put on "Now that we found love". What a great memory for a last dance, the excitement on the dance floor when that came on was one of my absolute favorite memories from our day.

Dear Curtis & Anna, We just spoke with our daughter Meredith, who is happily ensconced in the Pocono’s with her husband Kris, and she told us you called to thank her for the great time at her wedding. No, no, no, it is we who must thank you both.
Little girls dream of their wedding for years in advance and you and Anna played a very important part in making Meredith's dream come true. You both were awesome!! I can't remember a wedding where people of all ages were on the dance floor the entire night. It's easy to keep the young people happy, but our 85 year old mother just called to tell us how much she enjoyed the entertainment. Now that's a testimonial!
From the first time Meredith met you over a year ago, she was so sure that you would be the perfect DJ that she never even considered anyone else. You lived up to all our expectations and more. It was a wonderful reception.
But more than providing top quality entertainment, it was the special touches you provided that impressed us. The first person there to greet the limousine at Danversport was Anna. Having never met either of you, I assumed she was from the Danversport staff. When I approached the photo area and saw you there taking pictures and bringing Meredith & Kris refreshments, I thought you too were part of the staff. When Meredith introduced you as the DJ we were floored that you would provide such service.
It was evident to us that this was not just a job to either of you. You really care about the couple and will do whatever it takes to make them happy and the party a success.

The fact that both our First Dance and the Father Daughter Dance, all had to be edited were key items that were handled so quickly and professionally. Each piece was exactly what we wanted - thank you! I only wish I could've personally met Curtis and Anna as they were both awesome to work with via phone and email.
I wanted each of you to know that I gave out your information to a girl working at Lewis Restaurant that was recently engaged and plans to marry
next year. You were all such a pleasure to work with. Each of you commented how relaxed I was -- I honestly believe part of my relaxed state was knowing that I had hired the right people that loved what they do and were good at it! I've never done this before, but.... WOW! What a spectacular job you did for my daughter Denise and her husband Michael's fairy tale Wedding at the Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston, MA. They both told me how impressed they were with you before their Wedding, but I was totally "blown away" by your performance on their special day. I will be singing your praises for a very long time! You were both fantastic! You kept that entire crowd entertained all evening.
As the proud father of the bride, I wanted to do something "special for my little girl," especially since Denise and Michael planned, organized, and orchestrated every last detail of their "perfect day." I had planned to sing "Could I have This Dance?" and dedicate it from Michael to Denise and from Denise to Michael.... AND two stanzas of "Daddy's Little Girl" for you know who! I had rehearsed both songs for 2-3 months while driving to and from work. And, although I've sung in Church choirs, choruses and Chorale Groups most of my life, I wasn't certain that I'd be able to do it with my emotions still intact. I had asked Michael to ask you if I could have five minutes to say a few words after the Best Man's toast. I thought that since I was the only one who knew what I intended to do; that if I felt I couldn't do it (since there are a few emotionally charged words in both songs... when you're singing it to your daughter)... then I'd toast the happy couple and no one would be the wiser. Then I met you outside, and revealed my plans for the first time. Let me simply say that you could have politely said a number of different things, and I would have accepted it, and no one would have known! Talk about going out on a limb... you didn't have a clue what might happen when you turned that mike over to me. But, you made it happen... and I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate it, and how much I respect you for it. Thank you very much for letting me create a "special moment" at my daughter's Wedding. I will never forget it!

Dear Curtis, Hi, this is Todd Stuchiner. Mike Flannigan preformed at our wedding this past Saturday. Let me be frank: I was very disappointed with the service. Specifically, Mike promised me that he would have everyone “up on their feet and dancing.” While 126 of our 127 guests, did in fact dance, there was one guest that did not leave his seat for the entire wedding. Kerri feels I am being unreasonable, but I say the fact that he is a blind quadriplegic makes no difference. Mike failed to live up to his part of the bargain. I am therefore asking for a full refund in the amount of $950.00.
Furthermore, I asked him to Mike to hold a spare set of pants for me, which he promptly lost, so we will be attaching an amendment to the suit in the amount of 54 million dollars. Please understand that substandard service is inexcusable to us and we not be in this situation had you perhaps offered us a soda at our last meeting.

Curtis, I wanted to just let you know Ronny did a great job with our wedding on June 23rd. We had problems with several of the vendors, including the caterer and it was a pleasure to deal with someone who was not only a professional but willing to help out whatever way he could. The caterer arrived to set up the reception site a bare 40 minutes before the cermony was to begin and Ronny asked what he could do to help. He had every detail of the ceremony and reception under control. Furthermore, he was fun and the guests all loved him. He was top notch and afforable. If I ever have need for a DJ for any event I will absolutely book him again and highly recommend him to any future bride planning a wedding. It was refreshing being able to relax and know he had everything under control. He was by far the best spent money at our wedding. Thanks for everything

Comments: Curtis and Anna were extremely helpful and on the ball with scheduling and paperwork. Any time we had any questions regarding our event they were very helpful with that and were flexible to any details. When an emergency popped up with Mike D and he had to reschedule, Curtis was right on top of it to work with us and reschedule. The only reason we did not give this a "10" is because when we tried to pay our balance at the office during our last meeting, the women who were working there did not know how to work the credit card machine and so we had to call during work hours to pay the balance over the phone. Other than that, the experience was fantastic.
(Note from Anna - We were off doing a wedding show during her meeting. One of our DJ’s was sitting at Curtis’ desk when she arrived for her meeting with Mike D. Unfortunately the bride did not realize this DJ was not part of the office staff, so when the DJ said that she didn’t know how to run the
Credit card, it didn’t look good to her ?)

Comments: Mike D is an amazing person and DJ. He was friendly, supportive, flexible, and offered great suggestions when we were stuck for ideas on songs. He was willing to meet with us in the midst of a family emergency when we totally would have been willing to reschedule and that meant the world to us. He was always smiling, always cheerful, and really engaged us in the process. The day of the event he was an amazing MC and offered a great mix of music. We got so many compliments on his services from our guests once the reception was over, and would hire him again for an event in a heartbeat.

Comments: Absolutely, without a doubt. Mike was observant not only to the mood of the crowd and guests, but also to Steve and I as well. Steve at one point just wanted to "dance with my wife" and worked it out with Mike to play a song when we had a free moment and just clear the dance floor so we could have a minute. At another point, I was sweating a lot and was mentioning this to my mom when Mike grabbed me and pulled me behind the DJ stand so I could enjoy the cool air of his fans. He had a lot of fun with the guests and really engaged them into the reception, which was such a switch from other weddings I've been to where the DJ just says "OK, dance now." We LOVED Mike as a DJ, and were so impressed with him from start to finish.

While working with the office, the response time was great. I received confirmations in the mail promptly and the experience of scheduling meetings and booking the event was easy. It was an overall pleasant experience.
Everyone was so helpful and easy to work with. Jeanie was absolutely great. We received so many compliments on her performance. Had I known she was going to get on the dance floor and do the electric slide with everyone, getting a decent sized group together, I would have asked for a private lesson before hand! Everything flowed smoothly, even when we showed up a little early to the reception hall. Everyone enjoyed her work, the songs were great. Tony and I can't thank you enough for making our wedding day so special! From the moment I called you Curtis, I knew you were the one I wanted for our dj. You were above and beyond kind and you were always there for me when I had questions. You sent me information by mail when no one else would, as we are not online. When Tony and I sat down with you and Anna, we felt an instant closeness. We were so pleased that you had May 20th open! We can't tell you how happy we are with the way the wedding and reception turned out! The music was what I would have chosen if I did make a list. Our wedding was even more special than we could have dreamed but you and Anna being there made it more special! You are both wonderful people and you are doing what you were meant to be doing! Everyone said they had a great time, we hope you did too! Tony and I are thrilled to be married! This is a whole new chapter in our lives. We had a romantic honeymoon in Bar Harbor. Dear Curtis, I know this comes as no shock to you, but we need to tell you how wonderful our DJ, Mark Cherone was during our entire wedding on Saturday. We were SO glad to have him be part of our day and everything he did was absolutely perfect. So many of our guests commented on how wonderful he was. He even won the unsolicited praise of my older brother (who usually finds something wrong with anything!) Mark chose the music perfectly, the volume was always just at the right level and there was not one thing we would have changed in regard to any part he touched of our day. He made our announcements with style and grace and it was as though everything had been rehearsed with us countless times, not just the initial and follow up meetings we had.

Answer: In the famous words of Spinal Tap...THESE GO TO ELEVEN. Comments: We were more than pleased with working with you to book our event. Your customer service was excellent and we never had to wait for an answer to anything. In fact, almost every time, you gave us more information than our original question requested, which helped us immensely to plan our perfect wedding day. Example: I asked you for a few artists who did " What are you Doing the rest of your life". Not only did you name them, you included clips for us to listen to. We didn't realize Mathis did it and that was our First dance. Your ability to find the right Pachabel's Canon in D for me was awesome. Your attention to every little detail was amazing. You never made me feel like I was bothering you with my million emails!
How was your experience working with our DJ ?
Answer: ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS
Comments: Mark Cherone was the perfect fit for us and our crowd. We received praise about him the entire day. His professionalism was an exact fit for our personalities. Hello, Darko and I wanted to write you this email and thank both you and Stefanie for all your help. Curtis, both Darko and I were so pleased with your organization, precision and enthusiasm. However, we wanted to primarily say a few words about Stefanie and to Stefanie. I am not sure even if you are looking for it, but here it is:
Darko and I were very pleased with Stefanie's work. She was just THE BEST. I know that she is going to school for nursing and may leave you eventually, but as far as her work as a DJ she gets and A+ from both Darko and I. She was so professional, nice and was able to make what I am sure was stressful situation into an amazing night for our guests. You have to keep in mind that all the songs played on our wedding were Bosnian and she was able to cut them so well. All me and Darko needed to do is look at her and she would know exactly what we wanted. So pleased with her work. Stefanie, Darko and I wanted to thank you so much for making our night so special and for being so pleasant with everyone. Both of us plan to refer others to you and you guys can certainly have people call us as a reference so we can let them know how great you were. Darko and I plan to move back to Boston eventually and when we do, we will make sure to have you DJ our coming back party - so save those songs :-)

Personality: Good rapport with the students and faculty.
Musical Selection: The teachers had no issue with it. Most of the students seemed happy with it. Some students did voice the opinion that not enough current music was played, but these were the same ones that were mad that we wouldn't play their CD, so take that as you will. Some kids also mentioned that a few more slow songs would have been good.
Overall Rating: 9/10
Great job. Everyone had fun and you kept the night moving. Thanks again.

Hi Curtis, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, but you know how it goes. I have to tell you that Tori had the time of her life at her Sweet 16 party!! Alex was nothing short of spectacular. He was there before we even got there and was very happy to answer our questions and offer advice for a smooth evening. Everything went great and from what I understand, the party was the talk of two high schools for days after.
In answer to the questions in your e-mail, as you well know, I was a pain with changing dates a few times. I have to thank you for the kindness you extended to me when I was pretty stressed out. You always reassured me and knew it would work out. I truly appreciate all of that.

I was a bit concerned when the DJ changed after the contract was signed. ( Alex was booked at another event) When I inquired about a DJ, and you told me ( or I heard) he ( Alex) was the best for this age group and other customers were very pleased, The next communication made me feel like our event was less of a priority and we were now getting another good DJ, but perhaps not the best and maybe you had not planned it right. As you know, I hadn't used either one of them so I was just going on what you said. So in the future I suggest, Curtis, that instead you say something like" I have a few excellent DJs for this type of event..., then see their availability and commit." That would probably provide the spin you want and the assurance the customer likes to have. The replacement DJ was fine though. Fine, a bit less interactive than I would have preferred, but was responsive and played great tunes. Early in the night I asked him to switch into more party music/kick it up a notch, and he did. Very pleased with music selection and his ability to read the audience and supply the right content for the age group on the dance floor. Volume good and appropriate for dancers and talkers ( grandma did not even complain and she always does). Hi Curtis, Just wanted to let you know we had a great experience with DJ Stefanie for my daughter's Sweet 16/United Way fund-raiser. We really had her working as she was introducing the bands, running a contest for us while spinning all the music my daughter and her friends love in between.
You're very luck to have someone like her on your staff. I will surely recommend Curtis Knight Entertainment to anyone looking for a DJ. I e-mailed a request and heard back that same day.
